If you like Chihuly art, you’ll love this video.

my video of dale chihuly’s fantastical blown glass art, which he cleverly integrated into the lovely fairchild tropical botanical gardens in miami. the brilliantly colored, hand-blown glass sculptures actually look like they are a part of the natural surroundings. i organized the parts of the exhibit that i filmed into 10 exhibit areas, with names of the major pieces and series. enjoy 6 minutes of serene, beautiful art.

This is a good demonstration of how large pieces of hand blown glass art is made.

How hand-blown glass is made. Lee Miltier assisted by Chris Roscoe and Steve Nechodom. The temperature of the furnace is 1350 degrees Fahrenheit. (Until I realized I had a Gain feature on this camera and it was turned on, I thought the intensely bright-gold light from the glass being blown plus indoor/outdoor light difference threw the light of the camera out of balance and changed the true color of the heat in the furnaces and the molten glass from hot, blinding gold to soft green and white in the video. DUH.) So use your imagination about the color as you watch these amazingly skilled and experienced glass artists work in Berkeley, California, on July 30, 2009.

Back when we bought this house there were 3 hanging Tiffany chandeliers in the living room. They are brown and have hand blown glass and 4 arms that come off with the lamps. I want to know where to go to figure out how much they are worth…they are too breakable to move at the moment though

How can bubbles form in a hand blown solid glass round earth shape object?

I bought this object (the shape of the Earth) years ago. Then when I moved to FL. and had it on my mantle in my living room there appeared many shape bubbles coming from the bottom of the object. Even the artist cannot tell me what is going on. Can you?
Thank You
MF

Where can I find more info on 1920's Checkoslovakian hand blown glass vases?

I have one to sell but cannot find it online to establish a value. It is a trumpet vase with a swirl base.

Quite a few years ago I started collecting specific blown glass candle holders and oil lamps, they are tie dye in color and very thin glass. I have been unable to find anymore of them in many years and was wondering if anyone had any idea where to find some online so I can expand my collection. Here is the link to the only website I found, so you have a picture to go by. This exact style, but in any color http://www.werbeyondcandles.com/images/oil_lamp_red.jpg
most of them have stickers on the bottom that say "flame glow" if that helps at all
